BORN FROM COMMUNITY AND FASHION.

our story

Community Brand to Social Enterprise.

Kalos Creates CIC is a merchandise printing studio & social enterprise based in Tulse Hill, South London. Since launching in 2022, Kalos has grown from a community streetwear brand
into a trusted merchandise partner, recognised by some of the biggest brands across London and the UK.

Every order helps us create paid creative placements and real-world industry experience for young people across South London who face barriers to entering the creative industries.

Our roots are in the calisthenics community. Through our own brand, Kalos Fitness, we designed and produced apparel while hosting more than 100 free calisthenics sessions, events and community experiences across London. That journey showed us how creativity, culture and shared experiences can bring people together and open doors for young people.

Today, we partner with brands, charities and organisations to deliver high-quality merchandise while creating meaningful employment opportunities, creative skills and real-world industry experience for young people across London. By connecting commercial work with structured employability programmes, we're helping build a stronger and more inclusive creative economy.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

MARTYN TUTIN

I've always been someone who sees an idea and wants to find a way to make it real.

Growing up in London in the early 2000s, my entrepreneurial streak started early, from selling sweets at school to running a small marketing agency while studying for my Marketing degree. It was at university, while living with Luke, that I started Kalos. He came onboard as Co-Founder not long after and together we began shaping the brand into what it is today.

During my degree, I joined Dyson as an intern, later returning to their graduate scheme and progressing into a lead data role. I wasn't there to shadow from the sidelines, I was trusted with real work where the outcome genuinely mattered. That experience shaped how I think about opportunity today.

My path changed when I left Dyson and the life I'd built in Bristol with my girlfriend to move back to London and become my nan's primary carer. She supported the vision we were building and let us turn her garage into our little production space. From there, the next chapter of Kalos began.

Looking back, my journey showed me what can happen when someone gives you trust, space and a genuine opportunity to grow. Today, as Creative Director, I want Kalos to create those same conditions for the next generation.

LUKE PHILLIPS

Born in South London in the late 90s, I'm an award-winning entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Kalos Creates, where I lead our operations and commercial strategy.

My entrepreneurial journey started at university when I founded Optimal Combat. What began as boxing sessions for the local community evolved into a platform helping boxers find and book fights. It gave me an early understanding of how business can be used to solve problems and create opportunities within communities.

After graduating with a First Class BSc in Sport Psychology and Coaching Sciences, I joined London's most disruptive gym chain, Gymbox. Over the next seven years, I built experience across the sport, fitness and charity sectors, eventually moving into consultancy and supporting Sport England initiatives.

Those experiences shaped how I think about people, performance and opportunity. Today, I bring that thinking into Kalos, building the partnerships, systems and commercial foundations that allow us to grow sustainably while creating more opportunities for young people.

OUR FIRST ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER

We are proud to announce the creation of the Kalos Advisroy Board with our first official advisor, Dan.

Dan Beckles is the Co-Founder and Director of Furniturebox, a leading UK online furniture retailer. He co-founded the business in 2015 with his best friend, Monty, shortly after leaving school. Entirely self-funded, Furniturebox has grown into a £25m+ business serving customers across the UK and USA.

Furniturebox has been recognised multiple times in The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing private companies, and Dan has also been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Retail & E-commerce.

Dan's relationship with Kalos goes back a couple of years. From ad hoc mentoring and guidance calls to us delivering our first commercial team-building workshop for the Furniturebox management team, he's supported our journey and seen the business evolve first-hand. So when we decided to build our Advisory Board, Dan was the first person we wanted on board to help shape the next chapter of Kalos.

Outside of work, Dan is a keen sportsman who enjoys both playing and watching sport, and can usually be found convincing anyone who'll listen that Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League.

Creating Opportunities Through Creativity.

Every garment we print helps create something bigger than merchandise.

By combining commercial print production with structured employability programmes, we're creating meaningful opportunities for young people while helping businesses make a positive impact through the work they already do.

Our ambition is simple: to help build a stronger, more inclusive creative economy where talent, not background, determines opportunity.

HELPING CONNECT YOUNG CREATIVES TO OPPORTUNITY, EXPERIENCE AND PAID WORK.

Social impact isn't a side project here. It's built into the core of how we create, collaborate and grow.
